Volunteer
The People's Pedal is getting ready for a big 2008 season and needs all the help it can get. We have three main types of volunteering positions:
Hub Monitors - check up on one of our hubs once a week and let us know what bikes are there and what shape they are in. You'll get a free tool kit and basic bike mechanic training.
Promotional Aids - spread the word about the Pedal through writing articles, putting up posters, contacting media and more.
Bike Builders - helps up refurbish old bikes and keep the current fleet in good shape. We'll train you on how to fix bikes if you don't know how. We meet every Tuesday night at 6:00 at BikeWorks.
Contact us if you'd like to get involved.
Borrow A Bike
Need to run an errand, make a trip to the store, get downtown fast, or just want to go for a ride?
The People's Pedal is a bicycle sharing society located in Edmonton, Alberta. We provide bicycles at hubs around the city for the use of our members. It's easy to use- just pick up a bike, ride around, and then lock it back up at the nearest hub.
