Bike Sharing in Edmonton

The People's Pedal ran a bicycle sharing program in Edmonton from 2005 through 2008. The program set up a series of hubs around the city for the use of People's Pedal members. Members would just pick up a bike, ride around, and then lock it back up at the nearest hub.

In 2008 theft overcame the People's Pedal and the bicycle sharing program was shut down.
The People's Pedal is still committed to bicycle sharing in Edmonton and is working towards finding a way to make a high tech bike share, like the new Bixi in Montreal possible in Edmonton. If you would like to help in the struggle for bike sharing in Edmonton please contact us and let us know.
